Extending the Gifts of Yamuna: Body Rolling

This is Yamuna’s answer to spreading her message and approach to the body to as many people as possible. Yamuna wanted to spread the word about how easy it is to fix most structural problems with her hands-on therapy called Yamuna® Body Logic. She knew that no matter how many practitioners she trained there would still only be a small percentage of people worldwide who would benefit.

She took all the basic theories and practice and translated them to a ball. The ball becomes the hands of the therapist and the person’s weight creates the traction, movement and release on the ball. The result is what she calls YAMUNA® BODY ROLLING. This is a very powerful self -fixing and maintaining tool that everyone can do regardless of his age or physical limitations. YBR® (the name commonly used) organizes the body bringing all the parts back to working the way they should and can be. The commonly accepted belief that as you get older you get stiffer and lose mobility and can no longer do the things we used to do is not part of Yamuna’s belief system. She believes everyone should be able to achieve his personal best at every age.

In a Yamuna® Body Rolling class one learns to work on each part of the body, rolling the appropriate ball (vis-à-vis size and firmness) from the buttocks to the calf; from the tail bone up to the skull; from the abdomen up to the collar bone; from the collar bone out to the shoulder joint; and so on. Everywhere you have muscle connecting from one place to the next; this is the path along which Yamuna® Body Rolling takes you.
