Beth Butler is the director of TMC Wellness through Movement. Beth founded Educated Exercise in 1985. In 1988, Beth received her certification as a Movement Specialist from The New School of Social Research. Her Yoga training includes: teacher training with Donna Farhi, “Power Yoga” teacher training with Beryl Bender Birch, Iyengar Yoga teacher training with Joan White . In addition she has attended many yoga and fitness conferences to study with a variety of teachers. Her most recent yoga training was with Glenn Black.

In March 2000, she became certified with Yamuna Zake as a Yamuna Body Rolling Instructor and Therapist. She feels this has had the biggest impact in helping students understand their own bodies, to keep them healthy and to stay pain free. Other training with Yamuna include many re-certifications, Yamuna Yoga ( certification 2015) and Yamuna Table Treatment in June of 2013. Most recently Foot Fitness and Knew re- certification in June 2015.

I have been involved with movement and body awareness since 1978, always working towards finding inner peace. The fitness program came out of a love of dance, yoga and the science of movement and was designed to help participants stay in shape and free of injury while still having fun. Adding yoga and Yamuna Body Rolling (YBR) to my practice and teaching furthered my journey of self-discovery and finding a personal spiritual center. Establishing a personal practice has been and still is the most difficult aspect for me. I am now a lot more understanding of my students’ struggles with making a commitment to body work. I have learned that being compassionate is key, to begin simply and always to “Enjoy the Process.”
