Living with freedom of movement, without pain, stress and tension are our human right and human desire. We will explore the basic principles of Thomas Hanna’s Somatic work, one of the most effective neuro-science based movement methods to address chronic pain. You will learn a unique, efficient way to reconnect to fuller muscle function. This new perspective will provide you with a true somatic experience of a body as perceive from within. Moving gently, you will become a curious explorer, self-sensing and self-correcting. This is movement practice will help improve all that you do in life from daily tasks to athletic skill.

Gena Rho is an educator, dancer, yogini and certified Essential Somatics Clinical Somatic Educator. She has a private practice in Maplewood and NYC where she see clients privately and teaches Somatic Movement, yoga, workshops and classes as well as training and mentoring teachers. She is an adjunct professor at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. Gena’s career as a modern dancer included performing and teaching internationally as a member of the Trisha Brown Company. She has an MFA in Dance from NYU TISCH School of the Arts.
