How do I reserve a class?

The Movement Center seeks to provide a flexible and diverse schedule of classes to accommodate our membership. TMC offers both session and weekly classes. Session classes require prepayment in full. Class card sessions are available for more varied scheduling. Students who plan to attend a weekly class at the Movement Center are asked to call (717) 238-0357 or sign up on-line in advance to reserve a spot. Reservations are a courtesy to the teacher and your fellow students to ensure the minimum or maximum participation. If you sign up on-line and the class is canceled, you will receive an email informing you of the cancellation.

Which class is suitable for me?

The best way to determine which class is appropriate for you is to experience all the classes that are offered at TMC Wellness through Movement.  We offer a variety of styles and types of classes, and by trying the different classes you will be able to determine which class “fits” you at this point in your life.  Talking with the different instructors will also help you assess which is the right class for you.

What should I bring to yoga class?

Bring your yoga mat and water bottle.  If you do not own a mat, the Movement Center Store offers mats at a 15% discount to new students.  Community mats are available until you purchase your own mat.

What should I wear to class?

Come to class in comfortable clothing. Footless tights, shorts or leggings work best. During colder weather you may want to wear layers so that you can adjust to your body’s changing  temperature.  We work in bare feet.

For YBR classes students should wear leotard with tights, unitard, or tight t-shirt with form-fitting leggings. Long hair should be tied up. Class is done in bare feet.

There are dressing rooms at The Movement Center.  Please leave your shoes in the dressing room and bring all valuables with you to class.

Should I eat before class?

It is best not to eat right before your class. A light snack two hours before class is suggested.

Anything else I should know?

Please refrain from wearing perfume or cologne to class, as some students might be allergic to the fragrances. Also, it is important to be clean for class as cleanliness of the body is an important element of your yoga practice.
